How can I turn a cotton shirt white again?
I have a 100% cotton tunic style shirt that belongs to my toddler; it has some discolorations on it (kids are good at that heh) and I’m wondering if there’s a way to safely turn it white again? Thanks for any and all suggestions!!
As far as bleaching the shirt — does anyone know the proper ratio of water:bleach, It’s an expensive little shirt and I’m afraid of it turning yellow.
I haven’t tried this, but I’ve heard it works. Put a couple of tablespoons of Cascade (other detergents don’t seem to work) in a pot of water and bring to a boil. Put the shirt in the water and leave it for several hours, checking occasionaly to see if the stain is gone. Rinse in cold water and wash as usual. Again, I have not tried this, just heard that it works.
