If he has a gf, then why is he flirting with me?
I’m in middle school, and there’s this guy who I think likes me. The thing is, I’m pretty sure he has a gf, but I’m not really sure. (Last time we talked about it, he said he had one but I don’t know about right now)
He is a year older than me, but treats me just as if I was in his grade (he doesn’t call me “pipsqueak” because I’m younger and shorter). He always gives me these really long and close hugs that make me feel somehow safe. He always keeps his arms around me protectively and follows me (not in an annoying way). He compliments me and even said he loves me once or twice. He is really nice, and would never cheat on a girl.
Do you think he’s just overprotective of me or he actually likes me? If he does have a gf, then why is he always flirting with me? Maybe he doesn’t have a gf? What do you think?

Ask him whether he has a girlfriend or not.
If he answers ‘yes’ then ask for her name…
If it takes more than 7-8 seconds to answer this question, then he probably doesn’t.
When you ask him kinda make him feel that u are actually wondering about whether he is single or not… Ex: “Does a cute guy like u have a girlfriend?” & “Is she prettier than me?” etc… do not push him too much though..
If he is not a moron, he would understand….
