Do you dress your kid(s) better than you?
I used to always be really well dressed, shoes matched my shirt ot went well with it, clothes actually fit, hair usually fixed, make up (even if just eye make up) on….
Out the window. My clothes don’t fit, what does doesn’t go well together, no make up, and a frizzy pony tail. We won’t discuss the 20+ PAIRS of shoes that I can’t wear right now. (Heels I’m not comfortable carrying him in, and probably 18 pairs were hand-me-downs lol)
Jamie, however, has on the cutesest aqua onesie (growsuit?), dark jeans and matching socks, very cute.
Am I alone, or does anyone else dress their kid(s) better than themselves??
I’ve never been too into dressing nice. And my daughter DEFINITELY dresses better than me 99% of the time! There are 2 or 3 days a year that I will dress nicer than her. (The 2 or 3 days a year that I am going to a job interview or she is sick.)
No worries. You aren’t alone. Kids get more attention when you go out anyhow. They need to look nice! (or at least presentable)
lol, thanks for the flashback. You just reminded me of when Cheyenne was little .. about 2 years old. She always wanted to dress nicely any time we had company or went out. She actually ended up with 2 or 3 very cute dresses for the occasion of “going to feed the dogs.” It was so funny! We’d be running around, playing, she might have a smudge of lunch on her face. But as soon as I mentioned feeding the dogs – she would rush to the bedroom and pick a pretty dress! (Then fuss at them if they got dirt on it.)
