What can happen if a Visa sale is not run thru for several months? I work at a small business.?
For whatever reason, a customer bought something in August and the charge card was not run thru until December. Now he is trying to say it is not his charge. We know for a fact it is, so do we have to refund his money?
Your contract with your credit card agency will have the exact time period you are allowed to wait, but generally, you only have 30 days at most from the sale date to settle the charge. You don’t have to refund his money. The credit card agency will automatically debit it from you if you do not refund his money.
