What kind of handmade items do you want at your church bazaar and how much are you willing to spend?
“it’s for a worthy cause” just does not sell items anymore…I need an example of something you WOULD buy that is handmade and how much you would pay for it.
I think knitted items are always homey and nice. I really plush long muffler scarf maybe, or hot pads that are thick and tight enough to work. Make things in manly colors. There’s enough prissy girly crap out there. Men like nice home-made things too. Browns, blacks, grays, or burgandy maybe would be nice.
Also, hot pads are always a winner. A little tip; they old gal who makes mine always knitts with double thread. This makes them much thicker for the same amount of work. They do protect my dainty digits from the heat.
A really nice scarf should easily fetch $20. A good pair of hot pads are priceless!
No toilette paper knitted cozies. Those things are just plain weird and should have been retired along with Iola Boylan! (neighbor on Mama’s Family)
