specific interview attire?
I have an interview for an assistant management position at gymboree and I’m not exactly sure what to wear. It’s a children’s retail store, and I know that the actual work dress code is pretty open. But I’m young(and female) and I dont have a lot of experience for the job I’m applying for so i want to make a great impression and look professional and serious but at the same time I DONT want to look like i’m trying too hard and i DONT want to wear a black suit as i normally would for an interview. I would possibly like to wear a suit jacket with a skirt but not a plain pencil or a-line that looks like its made for office attire but i’m not sure what kinds of skirts would fall under the category of too casual. I also have no problem wearing pants..i’m just not sure of what i should wear at all! for more info about the store…the website is www.gymboree.com
colors too? is it too early for spring colors? and are spring colors not professional enough…i need help… bad.
if you wear a skirt, wear it long with a simple top and some sandals… remember, you will be working around children so nothing sexy. If I were you, I would wear some khakis and a button down white shirt, hair up. The simpler the better
