Any Preemie babies that were born and stayed in the NICU? What’s your story?
Had my baby girl at 34 weeks, was born in January 2009, spent 9 days in the NICU due to underdeveloped lungs and billirubin, she was 5pds4oz.
My mom had me at 26 weeks (Sept 21, 1983) and I was in the NICU for about 4 months…obviously I don’t remember anything LOL but I was 2 lbs at birth and dropped to just over 1 lb that day. I’m fine now 
No long-term health issues or anything other than contacts for vision problems and scoliosis of my spine. I guess considering the alternative I’m pretty lucky!
My own son was born at 35 weeks…after labor was stopped at 31 weeks. He lucky didn’t have to go the NICU however since I had received 2 does of steroids at 31 weeks to help develop his lungs.
