What do you think is the perfect age gap when you have your second child?
We already have a little boy who is 18 months and thinking about having our second child but dont know how long to wait. Our little boy does not sleep (never has!) so know it would be very hard to have a newborn plus an insomniac toddler!!
What do you think is the perfect age gap for children?
I reckon about 3 years is perfect. I’ve got two kids with a 3 year age gap and it’s just enough that they aren’t going through the same stages at the same time (i.e. terrible two’s), but not so much that they don’t share interests or play friends.
I also grew up in a family of 5 siblings and I think if the gap’s too big there’s the danger that siblings just find each other a nuisance, because their interests and needs are too different.
Start working on it now I say!
