Chances to enter the University of Florida?
I'll be a senior at a school in the small town high in the fall to come. I just took the act once and scored a 21 I plan on getting at least a 2.4 GPA is a 24.my sad but im willing to really work to put up this year. I was a cheerleader my sophomore year, I barrel race and I offered to shelter animals. I am also a lifeguard and an employee of the gap. What should I do to get the UF? I desperately need to work with dolphins and study and other marine mammals. so if you do not think im cut out of what other schools UF coastal can you suggest?
I really think your chances are slim. According CollegeBoard, only 1% of the student body had a GPA of 2.5 to 2.99 between (and yours is less than that) and the middle range of ACT scores is 25-30. Yours is in the 25th percentile. And if you do not live in Florida, then it something against you in the admissions process. UF is not http://collegesearch.collegeboard.com/search/CollegeDetail.jsp?collegeId=3001&profileId=0 really a "school of the coast" anyway. It is located in Gainesville (not really close to the ocean). Gainseville is at the center of Florida, not even close to the keys or the coast.
