what would look good over a little black dress for a work xmas party?
My new boyfriend and I have been together for 3 months and he invited me to his work company’s xmas party which is pretty formal. I got a little black dress (it’s pretty short but i am probably going to wear black hose underneath) but it is strapless and i have a bunch of tattoo’s on my arm, so what would look good to cover the shoulders up and what color?
When attending business functions and you’re not sure of what to wear the rule of thumb is always to dress conservatively. I’m not a woman so I don’t know what you should wear except to say that whatever you wear should cover you up; so I’m guessing a sweater of some kind. Darker more conservative colors would be appropriate so I would recommend a black sweater to go with your dress.
My interview suit would be appropriate for a funeral.
That being said asking your boyfriend would also be a good idea. Perhaps you could gain some insight into how his co-workers dress. If his office allows more casual dress then you would have more options.
