anyone been to Walt Disney World with an infant?!?
We’re leaving for Disney World Florida this Saturday. We did go two years ago with my two older children so I’m familiar with all the rides. Just wondering if anyone has gone recently with an infant, as now I have a 4 month old. Was it difficult…any tips I need to know…which rides I’ll be able to put her on my lap for, etc. Thanks!
Well it hasn’t been recent. In fact this was 9 years ago almost to the day but the parks are pretty much the same so my experience may help.
We rode everything with our daughter that we normally do like all the children’s rides in Magic Kingdom, including Dumbo and Small World. As well as many rides in the other parks such as Spaceship Earth, Living with the Land, Figment, Nemo, Mexico’s boat ride, and others at EPCOT.
All the shows, parades, and theater type attractions will be good with a baby, too.
I strongly suggest you use your own stroller as the ones at the parks are very uncomfortable for babies since they don’t recline nor are they padded. I’m sure you know that, though, since you’ve been there before.
I also suggest you take advantage of the Baby Care Center at each park. This will give you some time to relax with the baby, feed, change, etc. while your other children can sit and watch television.
And one last thing, don’t forget to go to Guest Services/Relations at any of the parks and pick up the baby’s free 1st Time Button. This might be special to him/her when he/she gets older.
We were there last month and saw a lot of parents with many happy babies.
