School dress code: Is this going too far?
At my old school, the dress code was for me beyond belief. I’m curious to see others think it’s as outrageous as I did. Here’s what’s allowed and what’s not:
-Shirts must be tucked in at all times
-No flared jeans
-No V-neck shirts
-No sleeveless shirts of any kind
-No cargo pants/shorts
-No carpenter pants/shorts
-Must wear a belt
-Shoes must have backs to them (i.e. no sandles/flip flops)
-Shorts cannot be more than 6 in. above the knee
-Skirts must be below the knee
-No overalls
-No logos/advertisements on clothing
-No excessive jewelry
-Pants cannot be any color other than blue, black or khaki
-No fringe
-No patches
-No cut-off shorts
-No sweaters/sweatshirts unless you have a shirt on underneath that is tucked in
-No athletic shorts (i.e. the netted basketball shorts)
-No hooded sweatshirts
Is this unreasonable to anyone else? I think it’s outrageous. Thankfully I don’t go to this school anymore..but I know people that do. What do you think?
this dress code sounds very reasonable. School is about learning, its not a fashion show.
