These garments are made in also sometimes dreadful conditions and the plantation workers receive a tiny wage for doing this back breaking work. Many of the field workers will die a horrible death due to ingesting and breathing in the pesticides when the cotton field owners spray the cotton crops. All this is done so that you and I can buy a cheap bodysuit or romper for our baby.
Your baby would benefit from you buying organic clothes because there is virtually no chance of these clothes causing any allergic reaction to your baby’s very sensitive skin. Buying organic baby clothes reduces the risk of eczema and most organically grown clothes are super soft. There are many styles and types of organic materials but the two best ones are organic cotton and organic bamboo. Clothes made from organic bamboo are a fairly new thing and are super soft and amazingly robust.
By buying organic baby clothes you are not only protecting your baby in the best way possible but you are also protecting the environment and the people that work on these plantations who sometimes die from pesticide inhalation. They have children too… and they can’t do anything else but work on these plantations. That’s got to be worth the extra hasn’t it?
