How do I get baby food out of clothing?
Whenever my husband feeds my son he manages to get carrot/sweet potato/pumpkin all over his singlet suit. I have tried soaking in napisan for 2 hours then washing – nothing. I have tried soaking in napisan overnight, with napisan paste rubbed into the satin, and they still didn’t come out! I dont mind too much, as he jsut wears singlet suits around the house or under things, but as they are plain basics I was hoping to keep them for my next baby, and if they have stains I would prefer to get rid of them and buy new ones for bub #2. Is there anything that ahs worked for you? I think I have set the stain with my previous attempts so I can’t think of anything that will work now!
I had the same problem with my daughter’s bibs. Soaking seems to make no difference. I found the best thing is to use a really good stain remover (I find the New Zealand products Shout! or Frend to the be the best). I then put a lidful of Napisan (the Oxiaction stuff) along with regular powder (Persil) into my normal wash and that seems to do the trick. Good luck with that stain removing..only other thing I can suggest is using a large plastic bib over the top of your normal bib. Sometimes even that doesn’t stop the stains getting through to the clothes, but mess happens with babies!
