When did you start baby shopping?
Hi everyone, i was just wondering when you decided to go baby shopping..
When did you start shopping for little things like clothes and nappies and when did you start shopping for your pushchair and cot? Im 5 months now and only bout
A bottle, pack off dummies and 2 outfits x
We got our pram just after we had our first scan at 14 weeks. I know that was still quite early but everything looked great on the scan and the pram was such an excellent price and exactly what we wanted, we didn’t feel able to pass it up! In the weeks after that we bought a steriliser and some bottles and dummies.
Two weeks ago at the 20 week scan we found out we’re expecting a boy, so we really started buying then. We’ve got blankets, bibs, vests, quite a few clothes, a hat, scratch mittens, a coat and some burp clothes.
We’ve got the car seat, bath, baby gym, bouncing cradle and moses basket all picked out and we’re going on a big shopping day at the end of this month!
As for towels, more clothes, changing matt, thermometer and muslin squares, things like that i plan to buy a few little bits every week from now.
I’m gonna wait til about a month off the due date then do a big shop and stock up on nappies, wipes, lotions, talc, sudocrem, formula, all that sort of stuff. Same goes for our hospital bags, i will do these about a month in advance.
I’m lucky as i have several people buying little bits for me and making up little baby kits, which is nice and will come in handy no doubt!
I’ts so exciting looking at little bits for him, but i’m trying really hard not to go overboard and buy stuff he won’t need for ages! For example, his cot and high chair i won’t buy til he’s a few months old, cos he won’t use them til he’s at least 6 months!
