Pregnancy weight gain with second baby?
I’ve heard several of my friends say how they gained weight faster with their second or third pregnancy than they did with their first pregnancy. I just found out I’m 6 or 7 weeks prego and this IS my second pregnancy. My son is now 6 yrs old. I’m a very petite and thin build and with my son I didn’t start feeling pregnant and uncomfortable in my clothes until about 14 wks or so…..this time I’m already feeling really bloated and don’t want to think about my jeans anytime soon….could it be because I’m thinner to start this time OR is it really true that after your first pregnancy your body just shows it quicker???
I just wanted to add really quick that I am in no way worried about gaining weight or “dieting” in any way – I am just in shock that my tummy feels so heavy already and wanted to hear from other mommies!
Yes, it’s true. One thing about having a second child is your body knows what it is doing a lot quicker then the first time!
I know exactly how you feel, I am 13w2d right now but I swear I started showing when I was like 6 weeks along. I am as well thin, petite, and had my daughter 6 years ago.
It’s crazy how fast your body gets ready for the ‘stretching’ process but take it from me, just because you get bigger faster doesn’t mean it feels any better to stretch!
