What present should I buy?
My sister is having her first child and the first grandchild for our parents – which means I ma going to be an aunt for the first time!!!!!! We are giving her a baby shower and I have ni clue what to buy. she has a high chair, crib, bassinet, playpen, swing, car seat, clothes, etc….. and shes having a boy! any good ideas out there?
I also go practical…a care basket with several different items like baby wash ( Johnsons Lavender is too die for) baby butt paste, wipes (it doesn’t matter what brand, wipes are used for everything), a couple packs of onesies a size bigger than what you think the baby will be in at first because alot of parents get all newborn stuff and then the baby grows right out of it before they get to wear it all, and you can’t go wrong with onesies since they are for all seasons…A nice blanket, think soft and fluffy, a stuffed animal or soft toy, and a baby brag book for mom to put all those pictures in right away to carry with her when people want to see the little one.
Also, give her the gift of safety…make an appointment for her and go with to learn to get her car seat installed. 80-90% of people do it wrong so it’s a good idea, especially first babies, to get it installed by a professional who can teach her correctly how to use it.
