Am I wrong for ignoring my mother-in-law?
After my 1st miscarriage, I got pregnant again. When I told her, she said she wouldn’t be happy until she saw me in maternity clothes. Subsequently, I lost that baby as well. She has openly admitted to giving support checks for her kids to her step children to spend. I live everyday with the effects of her poor choices. My husband is prone to depression and battles issues with his weight because of it. It can become a vicious circle in our house emotionally. I chalk a lot of his issues up to Mother of the Year. Am I wrong?
I don’t really understand what your mother-in-law did to your husband, did she give her stepchildren the support money she was being paid for her biological children? Whatever the case, she seems to be negatively affecting your marriage, your health and your husband’s health. It is not wrong to ignore her, but I would suggest letting your husband know why you’re ignoring her.

By the way, shame on her for her maternity clothes comment, but mother in laws do that. Before we got married, mine told my husband we shouldn’t waste time or money on furniture because we weren’t gonna be together for long!
