How much does a baby cost?
I am slightly worried I could be pregnant. Me and my fiance are going to do a test later to know for sure, but was wondering how much it costs for a baby? We don’t have much money (but plenty of love!) we rent our 2 bed house and my fiance has two older sisters with children so we’d probably get given a lot of stuff but does it work out really expensive? We’d probably buy a lot of clothes and stuff from charity shops and car boot sales but how much should be expect to pay out if i am pregnant??
its hard to put a certain amount on it. They grow out of clothes very quickly, then there’s the cots, pushchairs, toys, nappies, wipes. It all depends on if you want to buy the cheaper stuff or the brand stuff. If I see a sale on nappies or wipes I buy in bulk because I am going to use them.
I think in this first year (my son is 1 in a few weeks) we’ve probably spent.oooh. about.. £2500. We bought the cot, wardrobe and drawers second hand for £150. I breastfed for 9 months, I use my sisters pushchair for a the first few months till I bought a new one on sale on eBay. Plus we got a lot of second hand clothes for free so that saved us a lot of money. If I’d have bought new I can imagine it being a lot more than that.
