What is the difference of a Normal apple.. and a Pink Ladies apples?
Normal apples are a bit squishy, and pink ladies are hard and a different taste. Are they the same apples? Or different?
I bought a bag of organic pink ladies at Trader Joe’s for the first time this weekend. I thought they looked like a hybrid of Golden Delicious and McIntosh, size similar to a McIntosh and flavor more like golden delicious. The color varies, but they mix does make them look sort of pink. However, according to the website http://www.pinkladyamerica.org/aboutpink.htm they are actually a cross of Golden Delicious and Lady Williams apples, bred in Australia.
They are delicious!
